Technologically Speaking
We developed the Hazi-Hinam eCommerce platform for mobile and the web. The project included the mobile app and website – both providing the same features and capabilities. We also developed the product collection app.
Since Hazi-Hinam was a late comer to online shopping, we created a unique "quick-pick" concept which is implemented in both the app and the website. This concept aims to help them overcome the main barrier shoppers experience when moving from their current online supermarket provider to a new one, namely the hassle and long time needed to create the first shopping cart (which is then repeated in future shopping). We analyzed a huge number of offline shopping carts through which we extracted the repeated best-selling items in most carts, and developed a process that lets online consumers select them quickly and easily, to create their first shopping cart. This process is so efficient that it shortens the time it takes to fill the first shopping cart from about 45 minutes to around 10 minutes only, thus helping remove the barrier that stops customers from leaving their current supermarket and moving to Hazi-Hinam.
Another major development was made to support the ongoing operations of the Hazi-Hinam eCommerce platform. We developed a range of back-end systems, including an operational data management system and a collection app used by branch employees to efficiently collect products for customers online orders.
realcommerce provides all the digital services for Hazi-Hinam, including support and redevelopment of the back-office, and implements a variety of advanced digital solutions customers love, such as the "Hazi-Hinam Club".

The Technologies
Our mobile first approach in development included Native apps for Android and iOS. We used Angular for the website development and .Net Core on the server-side.
The collection app was also developed using the Native approach and it supports terminals and tablets.

Achievements
The new app and website led to a fantastic shift in Hazi Hinam’s online sales, which doubled itself several times since the launch.
We achieved and surpassed all of the goals and helped drive Hazi-Hinam digitally forward ahead of the competition.
